Hello all,

I would have to say that Tessa's first trip to the cottage was an unprecedented success. Only one (puppy) accident in her crate and one (take off to the next cottage to see "Chewy" the black lab) losing. She travels so well in the car that we won't have to keep her in her crate anymore. We stopped off at Pet Smart Friday night and purchased a doggy seatbelt (among other things) and she now rides between Megan and Owen in the back seat. She is calm and usually goes to sleep before they do. She seems to have bonded to our "pack" instantly and can't bear the thought of us splitting up. Here are the pictures, I will let you be the judge of if this dog is having a good time or not...

She is laying by my leg as I write this, dreaming puppy dreams of (probably) running around in circles with a dead fish in her mouth as the rest of her pack tries to get it from her. (her legs are twitching)

Tessa is loving the snow. She had a wonderful time with the first snow fall. She spent most of her walk that morning with her nose to the ground trying to extract frozen sticks and eat the snow.

Up at our cottage she is free to run as much as she likes. The lake was frozen over and she had a wonderful time running and skidding after sticks. She was so exhausted she did not come to get us up until 8:00 am the next day! She loves to bound around in the snow. The Springer in her sure comes out as she jumps all over the place.

Tessa goes out every day with a dog walker and has made some fast friends. It is funny to watch. On days when she does not go out (i.e. week ends) she will sit up on our bed looking out the window (when we are in the city). If she sees a van park she gets very excited. We figure she thinks it is the dog walker. Once when we walked up his street she picked out his van from amongst a few others and refused to leave it for several minutes! Duane Nov. 07

Yes - Tessa likes yogurt and cheese. She knows when we are having bagels
with cheese on Saturday mornings and sits beside me waiting for a handout.
The children have trained her with cheese rewards! Lisa Dec.07
